In God’s word we always find fasting connected with a very troubled spirit or a very anxious heart before the Lord. So a reason for fasting is not something you choose on the spur of the moment. Rather the reason is a consuming one. In a sense, it’s not something you choose, so much as something that chooses you, because it’s that important.

This is where I stake out with my laptop to study at school. This is a really comfy chair at the end of a long hallway. It’s facing a sunny window too. It’s my study chair.

Video Project Idea

I have been given an assignment to visually represent the notion of a database via moving image. It being January Prayer Month at my church, I thought about the hundreds of prayer requests that pass over the altar during the successive weeks. I have the idea of taking all of the prayer requests at the end of this month and making a curtain/matrix to convey the idea of a database. Each request represents the hopes and aspirations of an individual as they cry out to God. This raw emotion fueled by faith is the energy perhaps that I will attempt to portray through a written monologue, the matrix being the backdrop of the video. I even got a confirmation when I logged on to a online bible, the scripture below appeared…

7Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

8For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
